Jeremy believes a key factor in his success working with businesses is that, with thirty years practical experience in business before starting as a coach, he can situate what he does in the client’s experience. He always places emotional intelligence issues in a business context making his work practical rather than academic.

He now deploys a technique which combines practices from coaching, mentoring, training, consulting, advising and (very occasionally!) telling.

Jeremy received full training in business coaching and in how to run a coaching business with Shirlaws.

He has a lifelong interest in psychology and has read extensively on the subject for forty years.

He learnt mentoring and the practical application of emotional intelligence from Psychology of Vision.  He assisted with the development of the PoV UK Fundamentals of success programme and he is accredited by them to deliver the Fundamentals of success programme. He has completed the PoV Steps to leadership programme and over one hundred days of PoV workshops.

He is a certified NLP master practitioner. He trained with John Seymour and assisted John with his 2006-07 practitioner course in Bristol. He has also completed a twelve day course in cognitive behaviour therapy with UWE.

He is a partner in Synatus, a consulting, interim management and coaching group that provides direct access to some 200 senior level professionals.

He is a visiting lecturer at University College, Birmingham where he teaches business skills.

He is also a member of Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, 2gether NHS Foundation Trust and Avon and Wiltshire Partnership NHS Trust.

When not working with businesses, he is a composer, music arranger and editor, with professional performances and a CD to his credit.  He writes for Fanfare, the prestigious US serious music magazine:  archive here

“Jeremy, a very big thank you for working with me this evening. I am always amused and perplexed by your style, yet for me as a client tonight there were many moments of eye wandering comprehension as, aided by your questioning, I unpacked what was going on. I really had reached the edge, through lack of sleep or whatever. Your gentle yet firm probings really helped guide me back from there and into an empowered space. I’m even smiling as I type this!”
Philip Brown, NLP master practitioner
We all negotiate in some way or another in our business lives and, bar the few, most of us cringe and think we aren’t very good at it. I used to feel that way too until I received coaching and guidance from Jeremy Marchant of emotional intelligence at work.

All I can say is he was brilliant. What I liked was his ability to teach me in a manner that was understandable and achievable and I could see immediately how it would enhance my business. I’ve spent most of my career working on developing strong relationships and learning this skill has been one of the most valuable additions to how I work.

Thank you Jeremy for the time and investment in me! I feel far more confident and I enjoy what I do even more because of your help.
