Inspirational talk of the week

Sir Ken Robinson: Do schools kill creativity?

Book of the week

Emotional intelligence by Daniel Goleman

The book that popularised the expression, now twelve years old.  Well worth reading – Goleman’s view that emotional intelligence can be developed is convincing.

 Joke of the week

A dog thinks, “Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me. They must be Gods!”

A cat thinks, “Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me. I must be a God!”

Thoughts of the week

People and things do not upset us. Rather, we upset ourselves by believing that they can upset us.
Albert Ellis, American psychologist, philosopher and teacher

If you don’t create your reality, your reality will create you.
Lizzie West, American singer-songwriter.

Website of the week

The space collective

Where forward thinking terrestrials exchange ideas and information about the state of the species, their planet and the universe, apparently.  Fascinating.  Click on the Gallery if nothing else.
