A few snowballs

… from emotional intelligence at work

Greetings
Welcome to our Newsletter. You’ve received it because either you requested it (extra thanks!) or you met Jeremy or Kay.  We offer a change from other newsletters which do demand an awful lot of reading, and hope you will find it diverting.  We aim to publish once every two weeks, but sometimes the flesh is weak even as the spirit is willing.

Belated snow quotation of the week

Cats are smarter than dogs. You can’t get eight cats to pull a sled through snow.
Jeff Valdez

Video of the week

Choose not to fall.  I misread that the first time as “Choose not to fail” but that applies too.  Anyone who’s heard our golf metaphor (do you focus on the ball or the hole when you hit the ball into the hole?) will understand why we like this film.

Course of the week

Many of you know that the heart of our EI training and coaching comes from Psychology of Vision [not any more—Jeremy].  Now there is a chance to experience the UK’s top PoV trainer, Jeff Allen, and his wife Sue, also a talented and empathetic trainer, deliver a three day workshop on relationships.  Our belief is that relationships in business proceed along the same course, and have the same issues, as personal relationships, and that is the basis on which we’ve successfully used PoV material in our business coaching.

In this workshop Jeff and Sue will explore powerful lessons of relationships, and find out how we can change so that our lives – and loves – move in the direction we want. Truly successful relationships lead to a truly successful life, spilling over into other areas with friends and colleagues, our jobs and, ultimately, our future.

This is strongly recommended by both of us

Relationship matters

Belated New Year’s resolution quotation of the week

A New Year’s resolution is something that goes in one year and out the other.
